Jobs, cut lists, measurements you type, drafts, settings and machine numbers (unless you send a list to the machine over the wire, below), calculator and pitch history, your name on this phone, Quill conversations, voice fixes, job photo originals, saved recordings, and the “I agree” records. They stay until you delete them or remove the app. Saved recordings erase themselves after 30 days.

Each of these companies works for us to run that feature. We don’t sell what you send, and we don’t share it for advertising.
Before a phone’s walkie mic first turns on, its owner sees the recording notice and taps “I agree.” The notice says, word for word:
You can read it again, or withdraw it, in Walkie → Settings or Settings → Sharing. Withdrawing turns the walkie mic off.
Quill, the mics and read-aloud use AI companies. The AI notice says what goes to each one.
SSR Calc is a tool for roofing crews and is not meant for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Data travels over encrypted connections. Crew photos sit in a closed store. If something we hold about you is ever exposed, we’ll tell you as the law requires.
Attorney: 740 ILCS 14 (BIPA) and 720 ILCS 5/14 (eavesdropping; all-party vs one-party for electronic talk is unsettled in the research). The app checks the agreement on the phone that talks; a crew phone that has not agreed still receives and plays clips. Whether that meets all-party consent is your call.
Attorney: Cal. Penal Code 632 and 637.2 (CIPA); CCPA (Cal. Civ. Code 1798.100 and on) thresholds not met at this size per the research; CalOPPA (Bus. & Prof. Code 22575) cited from general knowledge, not the research files.

Nothing leaves this device. This edition has no accounts and no internet: no crew sync, no walkie calls, no AI. It is built to block every outside connection.
Everything you enter — jobs, cut lists, measurements, settings, history, photos — is kept on this device only, until you delete it or clear the app’s data.
No ads, no tracking, no analytics. The app makes no voiceprints and never looks for faces.
A file you save or share yourself (a cut list, the machine file) goes where you send it.

These Terms are a deal between you and . You agree to them by tapping “I agree” in the app or by creating an account. If you don’t agree, don’t use SSR Calc.

Cut lists, drawings, machine numbers and layouts, and Quill’s answers, are a tool, not a promise. They are only as good as the numbers typed in, and a roof is never perfectly square. Check every length with a tape before you cut metal, and check the machine’s first piece before you run the rest. You are responsible for what you cut and install.
SSR Calc is provided “as is” and “as available.” As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it is accurate, error-free, always running, or fit for any particular job, and we disclaim all warranties, spoken or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
As far as the law allows, is not responsible for wasted metal or trim, labor, extra trips, delays, lost jobs or profit, or any other indirect or follow-on loss, even if we were told it could happen. Our total responsibility for any claim is no more than what you paid us for SSR Calc in the 12 months before the claim.
Attorney: cap = fees paid in the last 12 months (the research’s wording; no dollar figure was given). The app is free today, so the cap is $0 for most users — pick a floor, if any. UCC 2-719 (failure of essential purpose) was flagged.
Your measurements, lists and photos are yours. You let us store and pass them along only as needed to run the features you use, as the Privacy Policy says.

SSR Calc doesn’t charge for anything today. If paid plans start, the price, how billing works and how to cancel will be shown before you pay, and these Terms will be updated.

You can stop using SSR Calc at any time and delete your data (how). We may change, pause or end the service, or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, apart from its rules on which law applies.

Quill is an AI assistant, not a person. Its answers can be wrong. Check any number it gives you against the app’s own cut list and a tape before you cut. Quill changes nothing in the app unless you ask it to and approve its plan.

For the mics, xAI, Groq and OpenAI each say they don’t train on what they get through the app and keep it up to 30 days for abuse checks. Each company handles what it gets under its own terms.
Attorney: Anthropic’s keep-and-train terms were not fetched in the research (the speech companies’ are in handoff/privacy-voice.md, checked Oct 11; xAI’s legal pages refused the reader, so its security FAQ is the source). The developer’s own Test app can also use Grok (xAI) for Quill and a live voice mode; those don’t run on the real app.
The app asks for your OK before anything goes to an AI company: the “I agree” on first open names them. If you’d rather not, don’t use Quill, the mics or read-aloud — every cut list, drawing and machine number works without them.

There is no delete button in the app yet. Ask us and we’ll do it: . Say “Delete my account” and give the email you signed in with.
Cut lists you sent to your crew are your crew’s work records and stay with the crew unless the crew deletes them. We’ll tell you when it’s done.
Everything kept on your phone you can delete yourself: lists in Jobs, photos with “Delete all my photos,” saved recordings in Settings → Where your data goes. Removing the app, or clearing its website data, erases the rest.
Attorney / App Store: Apple 5.1.1(v) needs deletion inside the app for any app with accounts — a launch blocker, not built yet.
